Alana has always enjoyed being active.  Growing up she played many different sports including soccer, volleyball  and softball, but ultimately found a love for hockey.  Some of her other interests include travel, nature, music and meditation.

Yoga has been a big part of her life for the past 7 years.  After a car accident in 2014, she found a deeper meaning and passion for yoga as the practice has helped to minimize her residual pain from the accident.  After years of rewarding classes Alana felt the need to share this wonderful gift with others, taking her passion for yoga to the next level.  She completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training in Costa Rica , undergoing a spiritual and life changing experience.

Adding to her learning experiences, the designation of becoming a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN) has helped Alana create a full database of how to put others on the best path toward good health and wellness.

Alana is excited to be teaching yoga at New Heights and is working toward her certification  as a Personal Trainer.
